Online dating has become a main tool of single people to use in order to meet other people. Some would not agree with this method of dating because it eliminates the aspect of talk to talk communication. However, many daters have had many reasons to use online dating and much success from it. Due to this success the world of online dating is continuously changing and introducing new ways to date online. Recently I was looking at the new forming of online dating and I came across this article.
Ignighter is a new website that is changing the face of online dating. Instead of having individuals meet online, they are having groups of friends meet online. They feel there site can create an environment for singles to meet with having to be alone. If you went out to meet someone, you would not go alone. Therefore, Ignighter is recreating that in their website.
Ignighter feels their website will provide a less awkward and safer why for singles to meet. If romantic relationships are not found though this site, friendships between groups with shared interest, at least will be developed. However, they need to set themselves apart from Meetup, a similar site. This website and the countless other online dating sites are providing more and more tools for people to avoid regular dating practices.
This new online dating website creates a lot of questions in my mind. Why would a group of friends not just go out to a social atmosphere to meet new people? Would people really want their friends along for the ride of online dating with them? Ignighter claims their sites makes online dating less awkward. For me having a couple of friends there with me when I’m trying to meet someone would make it more uncomfortable. As the questions about this site continue to increase, I have to wonder what success rate Ignighter will have in the online dating world.

I have never heard of igniter before your blog, but it is definitely an interesting subject. I agree that if my friends came with me on a date online or in the real world it would be more awkward. If an individual is interesting in online dating they may have low self esteem. Going on a date would only hinder your self esteem because it would give an individual a feeling that they could not do it on their own and had to rely on their friends. It will be interesting to see in the future if online dating sites such as igniter rise in popularity.
This is very interesting, I too have never heard of this site. But I agree that having someone with you on a date makes you feel more comfortable, it alleviates the possible awkward silence and is definitely safer. It's also nice to have that support from others.
